The Wednesday after Easter, we went to Memphis for William's Baptism. We asked Ed White to baptize William since he baptized John Parker and married me and Steven. Besides the anxiety of dodging tornadoes coming and going, it was a very nice ceremony. KJ, Pop, Sarah, Madison, Grammy, and Poppy joined us for brunch at KJ's house before the baptism. Our friends Kara and Paul were with us via speaker phone and were dedicated as William's Godparents. The weather was so bad that it kept our other guests at home. We had a wonderful day and got some great family pictures.

William's Baptism
Easter and Mother's Day
The first pictures are from Easter. We had a great Easter. John Parker and Madison, my cute niece in her pretty pink dress (which i am hoping to have to borrow one day :)) got to hunt eggs at KJ and Pop's house during William's Baptism Brunch. John Parker also got to hunt eggs at our house Easter morning and at Grammy and Poppy's the same afternoon with many friends. The Easter bunny was busy!!!
The last two pictures are of my first mother's day with 2. It was a busy day but after Steven got off work the boys "surprised" me with a bird bath which they had signed, William with his footprint and John Parker with his hand print. Germantown Cafe gave us a rain check on my favorite Chocolate dessert. The chef decided not to make it the one day Steven was going to pick it up and bring it home.
Brotherly Love
Sorry for the long pause on the blog. Between winter and the dissertation (which is just as cold as winter) we have been hermits. Now that the sun is out, you will see more updates. PROMISE!!!!
This post is simply a bunch of random shots mainly of the brothers being together. John Parker is such a great big brother. He plays his guitar to help calm William down and loves to hold him. William just watches John Parker and really wants to get in the action. He already rolled over!!! That started right at 4 months. William is a happy baby. You will also see a couple of his firsts in the photos. First experience swinging. First trip to the zoo and riding the carousel.
Oh yeah. The random photos of animals are such a sample of the wildlife in our yard. In the front ferns we have a nest of baby birds. We check on them daily. The squirrel running through the yard obviously stole someones dinner. He has an entire piece of pizza or pita bread in its mouth. And we have lots of dove. We looked out one day and three dove were just hanging out on our walkway. We have bunnies too and big bunny had babies. We think we saw one of the little ones but have not seen the entire litter. There are hawks and bats and a huge ground hog which we named but I forgot... I will have to ask Steven when he gets home.
