Coming Soon: Link Backyard Farmer's Market

No updates on the screened-in-porch. We are waiting for schedules to align, but in the mean time we planted a garden. Steven and I have been wanting to grow a couple of veggies. I remember growing up playing in my gramps' garden and Steven's dad grows tomatoes in his side yard. John Parker wants to grow pumpkins so that he can sit and wait for the Great Pumpkin just like Linus. I sent Steven to buy a couple of tomato plants, pumpkins, and some squash and cucumbers. Steven came home with a future farmer's market: pumpkins, green beans, snow peas, okra, watermelon, cantaloupe, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, bell peppers, banana peppers, rosemary, cilantro, strawberries, and tomatoes. WOW!!! Steven built the garden frame, unloaded a trailer of gardening soil, planted the seeds and plants, and wrapped the garden with a fence so that our precious bunnies do not eat our harvest before we do. John Parker and I painted signs to map the layout of the veggies, made a bird house, and we water the garden everyday. It has only been 4 days and the pumpkins and beans have already begun to sprout.
