My Big Back Yard

We were in Memphis this past week and needed a Saturday morning activity. The Botanical Gardens has a section dedicated to kids called "My Big Back Yard". It was so fun. It is everything you might see in your own backyard, JUST BIGGER! There is a puppy dog kids can climb on and his large dog house. John Parker went rock climbing then slid down the slide. There is an over-sized tree house with a large bird house attached with a wooden swinging bridge and twisty slide. There is a large bird's nest to play in and a wooded area filled with tree stumps to jump across and building blocks. Steven made John Parker a log cabin. There are several little houses with everyday items like pots and pans that make music. A small pond is the perfect place to for Pop and John Parker to hop along boulders. There is even an area where rain storms occur every 5 minutes. What a fun day. If you live in Memphis, or visit, I highly recommend it.
