Most of you know that Steven and I were planning to find out the gender of #3 on delivery day. However, during the Fetal Echo I found out on accident. So here is how the accident happened: I had filled out a form in the waiting room. The form asked if I knew the gender...I said No. The form asked if I wanted to know the gender...I said No (but I will admit it was getting harder not to know). The Sonographer took pictures of #3's heart and left me to wait for the Cardiologist. What do you do in a doctor's office when waiting for the doctor but look around the room (still wondering if I was really going to make it to May 2 without knowing the gender). As I was looking around the room, the form that I filled out was on top of the chart sitting right next to me. But wait! I didn't circle GIRL on the form....the sonographer MUST have. When the cardiologist came in, I asked him to confirm GIRL and he did!!!! Later that day I talked to my OB (who had previously told me that she did not know the gender) and she said that she was relieved that I knew because she DID know and REALLY wanted to tell me.
So I had to tell Steven ... but how? I ran up to my wonderful photographer's studio (TUCKER PHOTOGRAPHY) hoping he was not busy and we put together this fun little "Oops" announcement. We saved it to my IPAD and I showed Steven at dinner. We are both so happy that we know and so happy that we are adding a baby GIRL to our already perfect family. I think the name has been chosen but I am waiting on Steven to give the final "blessing" ... after that LET THE MONOGRAMMING BEGIN :).
A couple of days later we wanted to tell the boys that they were getting a baby sister. So we wrapped up a large box like a present and when JPL openned it, a dozen pink balloons flew out. We asked JPL, what does pink balloons mean and he perfectly yelled, "IT'S A GIRL!" Priceless! He has named her "Snoopy"
Of course, it did not take me long to enter planning mode once I found out. The plans of not needing to do or change anything in the nursery flew out the window as fast as me looking over and seeing GIRL circled on that form. The new antique cream nursery furniture has been ordered and the double dresser has already arrived!. The white, gray, and lavender nursery bedding has been ordered and I have already received the bumper and pillow shame, in addition to the lamp and YES! a baby chandelier!!!! The plan is to move W into JPL's room in March for two reasons: (1) get them used to being in the same room and (2) so we can paint the room a gray color and start getting it ready for ~KML~. As of right now she is scheduled to arrive on May 2 at noon.
Stay tuned for what I am sure to be many updates on the anticipation of baby girl.
